History of Waves of Glory Church...

Here is a bit of history for you. Waves of Glory Church had its humble beginning in 1970. In 1969 - 1970, Pastor Edwin Wiebe had his first radio broadcast on CHAB in Moose Jaw, SK called the Waves of Glory broadcast. This name was soon incorporated.
In the late 1970, the former Salvation Army hall at 205 Hespeler in Winnipeg, Manitoba was purchased. Pastor Edwin and his wife, Ollie, decided that because the radio broadcast was already called Waves of Glory, that it would also make a good church name as well.
And so, Waves of Glory Full Gospel Chapel was born.

Early Beginnings...

So Waves of Glory started with three people. But the Lord quickly began to add. During this time, Pastor Wiebe was still working full time in his Optical profession. This along with church work, his days were full.
Two years later, with the church nearly full, the Holy Ghost spoke at Grenfell Bible Camp that Pastor Wiebe could leave his job and full time pastoring the church they had begun.

Growth and Impact...

Now in it's third location, Waves of Glory is now set in the heart of Winnipeg. This needy core area has now become a local mission field for this church which has developed into a tremendous influence for God.
Many services have new people in attendance, and Waves of Glory has been instrumental in training a number of people to begin other ministries and works, some of which are thriving churches today! Our endeavor is to continue the work of Jesus Christ in these exciting and challenging days.
